Sweet Meat Jerky

Greetings, jerky lovers!

Wanted to provide an update for you. We have been extremely busy working on getting our Kickstarter rewards ready and out to our backers. We really appreciate your patience, we promise you’ll get your jerky soon!

Right now we are having our graphics designed and prepared for our packaging and the swag some of you ordered. Can’t wait to get the finished project, but we will be sure to share it with you as soon as it gets to us! Keep checking in, it’s not too far off!

We also wanted to apologize for the irregular blog posts. It’s difficult to get into a routine when nothing really exciting is happening to share. As we prepare for things to ramp up in the next month or two, we hope to have a weekly blog going to inform everyone of our progress, successes, failures, tribulations, aggravations, joys, etc…

Thanks again for your continued support! Can’t wait to get our jerky out to you!

Currently we don’t have anything available for online order. We are currently in the process of converting our website into an online marketplace, so please continue to check back with us as things continue to progress!

Well, we did it! Thanks to our friends, family and complete strangers we successfully funded our Kickstarter project and are on our way to the top of the snack industry! Keep your eye on what we are up to, we will be sure to keep everyone in the loop with our progress. Thanks again for all the continued support and love! Can’t wait to share our jerky with ya!

To our dedicated Tumblr follower(s) - we are still alive! A month has gone by since our last post, but we are working as hard as ever. School wraps up for Ian and I May 1st, and that is when we are officially shifting from 1st gear to 5th. 

Of late we have been proving our concept, learning more about our customers, and trying to be the best entrepreneurs we can be. Launching a business is, as cliche as it sounds, a roller coaster ride. Ian and I have had some extreme high’s and low’s recently, as all business owners do. But we stay determined. 

We can’t wait to share our vision with you.

It’s been one of those days; those 25 hour days. Those days that inspire creativity and crush it at the same time. But, we emerge confident and with resolve. Knowing that our vision will be fulfilled if we work hard enough.

The bumps in the road are only distractions. And the butterflies in our stomachs are good premonitions.

After countless hours, we are finally ready for our official launch at the Nashville Farmer’s Market this weekend, February 18th & 19th!! We will be there from 8am to 4pm on Saturday’s and Sunday’s from here on out.

We are very excited for this opportunity and can’t wait to get started. This started out as a joke at first, but from the help and support of friends and family it has turned into our lives! We hope you can make it down to see us one of these days, but if you can’t keep following us here and on Facebook and Twitter, we hope to offer online ordering in the very near future!

We are using the Farmer’s Market as a base for our launch, but we have a lot of plans and goals for Sweet Meat. We hope to have 3 fully developed flavors and professional packaging by summer so that we can pitch our jerky to local stores around Nashville, so be on the lookout for us in retail outlets!

It would be nice to say this is easy and everything happens by itself, but it isn’t and doesn’t. We need your help to make this a success, so keep following us, keep checking in on us, and keep telling your friends about us. In today’s world everyone is more connected than ever, so you never know who may be a beef jerky fanatic waiting to try our snack!
